File Manager helps you review and share your scans. When File Manager is loading, thumbnails of all files are created. This algorithm needs a few seconds. If the files are too many it will need a lot of time. It is advisable to remove old files from the android device. If a txt file exists and dxf is absent, file manager will create the missing dxf. This can happen if the application is terminated unexpectedly.
Once a file is selected the Share, Load and Delete buttons are enabled. If more files are selected the Load button turns to grey again.
The files are sorted always by date.
You can share or delete multiple files at once. File manager will send or delete both txt and dxf file.
If you Load a file it will be drawn in the drawing window and you will be automatically redirected to that screen.
The app is asking you if you want to load it in the Combo Scan window. If you tap Yes then you can continue a combination of scans with the method of a corner and a line. Or if 2dscanner is in the same spot you can scan more points.
Up to Android Version 10, all the files can be accessed via any File Manager or USB. They are stored in public shared folder Documents/2dscanner folder.
From Android 11 and more special permissions are needed. Asking for these permissions delivers bad user experience informing that personal files might be deleted and more scary warnings. So the files are stored in internal memory and can be accessed only from the File Manager of the application. If you update or uninstall the application these files will be lost. In general it is a good policy to share the file when the scan finishes. The application pops up a window and prompts you to do that.
